The electronic endoscopes 10, 11 of the wireless electronic endoscope system 2 has RFID tags 38 included in operation parts 18. Each RFID tag 38 stores the setting information such as the frequency of radio wave to be used in the electronic endoscopes 10, 11. RFID tag readers 22 for reading the setting information from the RFID tags 38 are attached to hangers 21 for suspending the electronic endoscopes 10, 11 in a truck 16. The RFID tag readers 22 are arranged in parts opposing to the RFID tags 38 when suspending the electronic endoscopes 10, 11. A processor 12 receives the setting information, and then, changes-over a reception frequency into the frequency of the radio wave in the electronic endoscope to be used with the use of a frequency changeover circuit 94.
