A wireless field instrument 1a comprises: a wireless communication part 11 for performing wireless communication via a wireless network; a storage part 14 for storing setting information C1 which includes at least one of instrument information for identifying the instrument, communication setting information for establishing wireless communication via the wireless network, and instrument setting information for specifying operation of the instrument; and a lock control part 15b for, when the wireless communication part 11 receives prohibition information which indicates prohibition of change of the setting information C1, performing control to restrict changes of the setting information C1.
