Title:
WIRELESS TELECOMMUNICATION MULTI-CARRIER RECEIVER ARCHITECTURE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3737390
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a receiver for a wireless telecommunication system, by which signal processing in a comparatively wide zone of a received signal is conducted without increasing the distortion of a signal and a large number of the received signals can be processed simultaneously.
SOLUTION: The receiver 10 contains a special LNA 16, a frequency down converter 18 and an ADC 20, and executes wide-zone signal processing, maintaining the performance of the receiver. The frequency down converter 18 uses a proper mixer 28, a BPA 32, an attenuator 34 and a transformer 36, and adjusts these equipment so as to conduct desired frequency down conversion and amplitude control in a desired wide zone. A down converter-device is selected in response to the specific performance criterion of the ADC. A special digital-channelizer 22 is contained in the receiver 10, a digital signal from the ADC 20 is received, and the signal is separated into a large number of channels.
