Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a wireless terminal that can properly select a communication network in response to kind of data being an object of transmission reception when using a network to send/receive data.
SOLUTION: A mobile wireless terminal 201 uses a packet communication gateway 225 to first acquire HTML data (main data) of corresponding contents when accessing a WWW server 223 to acquire the contents and to display them. Tags to reference various files (attached data) such as the JPEG configuring the contents are integrated in the HTML data. Thus, the mobile wireless terminal 201 requests the WWW server 223 to get information of sizes of the files through packet communication and discriminates whether the terminal 201 acquires the files through the packet communication or channel switching on the basis of the acquired file sizes.
