To provide a wood crusher capable of enhancing crushing efficiency and discharging performance of chips remaining inside a crushing chamber.

The wood crusher includes: a feed conveyor 12 for feeding lumber to be crushed; a crushing rotor 15 arranged oppositely to the feeding part 100 by the feed conveyor 12 for the lumber to be crushed; an anvil 34 installed so as to impinge on the chips circulating in the crushing chamber 27; and a screen 38 arranged oppositely to the outer periphery of the crushing rotor 15. The wood crusher is characterized in that the rotary drum 101 of the crushing rotor 15 is provided with a main crushing part A which is opposed to the feeding part 100 and has a plurality of crushing bits 36 on the outer periphery, and with a sub crushing part B which is situated outside the width of the feeding part 100. In addition, the screen 38 is also arranged at least in a position facing the outer periphery of the sub crushing part B of the rotary drum 101.
