To provide a wood decorative sheet having an excellent appearance, including a transparent feel and a shining feel of the surface with wet glossiness, and such properties as to comply with application purposes.
A translucent color-printed layer 2 is formed on the surface of a wood thin plate 1 of a thickness of about 0.15-0.6 mm, and a thin layer 3 of a colored synthetic resin is formed on the layer 2 by applying a transparent or translucent colored synthetic resin liquid to the entire surface of the plate 1 having the layer 2, and hot-pressing. The resin liquid is made to penetrate to the depth reaching the back surface of the plate 1 and solidify in order to obtain a wood decorative sheet having good flexibility for soft colored synthetic resins and a wood decorative sheet having excellent rigidity and wear resistance for hard colored synthetic resins.
