To provide a combustion device capable of using wood fuel made of highly resinous wood material, and easy to maintain.
In a boiler 1, wood pellet 3 is burned while oscillating a cylindrical burner main body 16. Combustion air is supplied to the burner main body 16 from a front part to a rear part, and the wood pellet 3 and combustion ash are gradually transported from the front part to the rear part. The wood pellet 3 is incinerated in the burner main body 16, and the combustion ash is recovered in an ash tray 6b mounted at the rear part at the last. As the burner main body 16 is oscillated in the combustion, the combustion ash is attached to a surface of resin even when the resin comes out from the wood pellet 3, and rolls over in the burner main body 16, thus the resin hardly attaches to the burner main body 16. Accordingly, the attachment of clinker to the burner main body 16 can be prevented, and the maintenance of the boiler 1 becomes easy.
