PURPOSE: To provide a wood polishing device which provides excellent productivity by efficiently polishing a workpiece in a short time and which can reduce costs.

CONSTITUTION: This wood polishing device has a freely rotating main body 20 whose outer periphery has a polishing-mated surface 14 formed into a predetermined shape to be mated with the shape of the part 11 of a workpiece 10 to be polished and a polishing element 22 located on the polishing-mated surface 14 and made of an air-permeable elastic material allowed to freely move into and out of contact with the part 11 of the workpiece 10 to be polished, and the main body 20 is provided with a communicating passage 23 through which fluids therein are expelled into the atmosphere by way of the polishing element 22.
