To decrease plate thickness of a side wall to reduce weight of a wood stove and enhance combustion efficiency, by protecting an inner surface of the side wall of a plate-like combustion chamber with a pipe.
A combustion chamber 40 and a top lid 61 are placed above a base 1. A combustion plate 10 is positioned between the base 1 and the combustion chamber 40, and a wood placement part 12 is provided in the combustion plate 10 in such a manner as to close an opening 11. A lower closing plate 16 having an air intake port 17 is provided below the combustion plate 10 to configure an air intake chamber 30. The air intake port 17 is provided with a shutter 22 for closing the air intake port in an emergency. A wood stove 70 is configured by arranging pipes 47 with no space among them in such a manner that they cover inner surfaces 41a-44a of respective side walls 41-44 of the combustion chamber 40.
