PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce variations in a carry and directivity of a hit ball.SOLUTION: A wood type golf club head 1 includes a face part 2 having a face 2a for hitting a ball. The face 2a includes a first region 10 and a second region 20. The first region 10 is located in a central part in a toe-heel direction of the face 2a, and on the upper side of the face 2a. The second region 20 is formed in a U-shape in a front view of the face 2a so as to be adjacent to the toe side, the heel side, and the lower side of the first region 10.
