Abstract:
PURPOSE: To ensure excellent printing quality in recording on plain paper and high density for recorded image and improve water and light resistances and storage stability by incorporating a specific colorant in a watery medium.
CONSTITUTION: 2,5-Diaminobenzenesulfonic acid is acetylated with acetic anhydride, and the obtained 2-amino-5-acetylaminobenzenesulfonic acid is diazotized and coupled with 1,7-Cleve's acid to thereby obtain/compound of formula I. This compound is diazotized and coupled with gamma acid to thereby obtain a compound of formula II. This compound is diazotized and coupled with aniline of formula III to thereby obtain a compound of formula IV. This compound is hydrolyzed with a base to thereby obtain a colorant of formula V (wherein A is phenylene which may be substituted with at least one group selected among 1-4C alkyl, 1-4C alkoxy, amino, -COOM, etc.; and M is alkali metal, etc.). 0.5-5wt.% colorant is dissolved in a watery medium.
