A floating tube is made of wood (a log). The wooden floating tube hollowing out a cedar material with a diameter of about 45 centimeters and a thickness of about 10 centimeters, sufficiently functions as the wooden floating tube of a primary refuge tool in a natural disaster and endures against external force. Even in a collision with a sharp object, the object hardly sticks in the skin of the log due to the round and hard nature of the log, and even if it sticks, damage by air leakage is not caused since it is not hollow. Meanwhile, an environmental load is reduced due to the use of wood being a circulating natural raw material, and since a short material, a bent material and a thinned material of an adult tree only to be disposed or utilized as a chip material are effectively used, the yield ratio of the raw material is high, and it is also economically advantageous.
