Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain the title molding base material useful for interior material etc., having excellent moisture resistance and strength, improved moldability, mold release characteristics, economic efficiency and molding operation efficiency by blending woody fibers with specific amounts of glass fibers and phenol resin and molding into proper thickness. CONSTITUTION:A woody fiber raw material 12a and phenol resin powder 41 are fed to a conveyor roll 25 of a woody fiber supplying means 21 and woody fibers are opened by a thread opening roll 27 to give a mixture 18 of the woody fibers 12 and the phenol resin 41. Glass fibers 13 supplied by a glass fiber feeder 23 and opened by a thread opening roll 37 are sprayed with a phenol resin solution 43, the glass fibers sprayed with the phenol resin solution and the mixture 18 are transported by a conveyor 45, mixed by a thread opening roll 47, fed to a conveyor 51 and needle punched by a needle punch 53 to give the objective woody molding material comprising 80-85wt.% woody fibers, 3-5wt.% glass fibers and 10-15wt.% phenol resin molded into proper thickness.
