Abstract:

To provide a work cutting device and work cutting method which can improve a cutting accuracy and productivity.

A slider 18 is mounted slidably on the rails 16a, 16b of a column 14 erected on a bed 12. Both sides of a rotary shaft 30, on which a cutting edge block 28 including plural cutting edge 48 is mounted, are supported by the supporters 26a, 26b provided on the front of the slider 18. A work 70 is arranged just under the cutting edge block 28 on the bed 12. The cutting edge 48 is lowered while rotating and cuts the work 70. Meantime, the cutting speed of the cutting edge 48 is adjusted in response to the load applied to the cutting edge 48.
