PURPOSE: To enable the safe and reliable resetting operation such that when the machine is stopped due to the operation abnormality during the exchange of a tool the sequence of the reset operation is indicated by the numeric value and the symbol not to cause the erroneous resetting operation and performing the operation on the basis of said command.

CONSTITUTION: The time required for each operation of the machine is obtained from a first control circuit 301 to decide whether the operation is executed within the setting time on the basis of the confirming signal of the operation of the machine. When it is decided to be abnormal, the list number or the resetting number for treating the abnormal state stored in EPROM303 is read out and the numeric value or the resetting sequence is sequentially displayed on a display unit 40. Consequently suitable resetting countermeasure can be performed for the fault and the erroneous resetting operation can be prevented.
