PURPOSE: To make appropriate machining possible, by providing a line at the upstream side with both tracking and tag modes, while setting up machining instruction data in a parallel line at the downstream side, in a machining line of workpieces machined at these lines at the separately provided downstream side.
CONSTITUTION: A workpiece passing a line 10 in a tag mode is tagged by a displayer 13 that it should be machined by the tag mode while a workpiece passing a line 20 in a tracking mode is as well tagged by a displayer 23 that it should be machined by the tracking mode. Joining said lines 10 and 20 together, a detector 41 is installed in the inlet of a mixed parallel production line 40, thereby generating a signal which discriminates every workpiece from the lines 10 and 20. With this signal, necessary machining information is received from a machining instruction unit 20 as data with which the desired machining is carried out at every stage.
