Abstract:
To stabilize a plate shape at the time of the use of high-speed steel rolls.
In the work roll moving system rolling mill in which a pair of work rolls 1 having an initial crown and make of a material whose thermal expansion is large, is arranged in point symmetry up and down with respect to the center of the mill, which rolls while making respective work rolls 1 move relatively in the reverse directions each other in the roll axial direction. A recessed type initial crown is formed, which becomes a large diameter in the barrel edge direction over a barrel edge on a side approaching the center of the mill from the vicinity of the barrel center of the work roll 1 by the movement in the roll axial direction of the work roll 1.
