Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save a labor by machining the inner/outer peripheral surfaces of a piston ring automatically.
SOLUTION: The working machine of a piston ring for machining the inner/ outer peripheral surfaces of a work 16 whose inner/outer peripheral surfaces are formed with a non-circular curve simultaneously is composed of work support means, 10, 11 having a pair of spindles for supporting plural piled works 16 turnably from both end sides, a clamp means provided on the at least one side of the work support means 10, 11, for clamping the work 16 between respective spindles by pressurizing the said spindles in the axial direction of the work 16, a Z axis drive means having a Z axis motor 4 controlled by NC, for moving the work support means 10, 11 to the Z-axis direction parallel with the axial center of the work 16 and a C axis drive means 18, having a C axis motor 19 controlled by NC, for rotating the work 16 to the C-axis direction by synchronizing with the movement of the Z-axis direction of the work support means 10, 11. As the inner/outer periphery of the work 16 can be processed automatically, the labor is saved.
