Abstract:
PURPOSE: To certainly perform a direct detection of a joint part by a method wherein a contact plate which comes in contact with the joint part that is a knot formed on the bottom of a work and a vibration detector which detects the vibration of the contact plate are arranged below a through-hole between tables by which the tied work is supported and conveyed
CONSTITUTION: A work 1 consisting of a plurality of layers is attached with cover paper 3 on the top and bottom, and tied with a string 2 along the circumference of a turntable 11. When the work 1 is tied, a knot 4 of the string 2 is formed on the bottom of the work 1. After that, the work 1 is conveyed up to a joint part detector 20 as the turntable 11 rotates. At this time, the knot 4 is inserted into a through-groove 24 between the turntable 11 and a stationary table 12, so that the knot 4 is brought in contact with the upper tip of a contact plate 25. The vibration of the contact plate 25 due to the contact of the knot 4 is detected by a vibration detector 26 and the detected signal is sent to an amplifier 29. Thereby, a joint part, i.e., the knot 4, is directly and surely detected.
