Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a work-piece vice for gripping a work-piece with a center of the work-piece as a basis by which the work-piece can be supported with a high rigidity.SOLUTION: A guide plate, which is long and narrow in a screw shaft direction, is fixed to a metal cap base on both sides of the screw shaft which opens and closes symmetrically to the metal cap base. The guide plate fixed to one metal cap base and the guide plate fixed to the other metal cap base are slidably fitted in a guide groove of a base in two-ply state. Plural guide strips are formed between each guide plate and an inner wall surface of the guide groove in the screw shaft direction, and a face thereof, which regulates upward movement of the guide plate when gripping a work-piece, is processed with high accuracy.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
