Since a sucking member simply holds the workpiece by suction at this time, the workpiece is slid in a sucked state and its core in the long side direction coincides with the core of a center shaft 3. Then, the holding roller 7d in the short side is brought into contact with the long side of the workpiece and by holding the workpiece while pressing this in the center direction, the center of the short side of the workpiece coincides with the axial center of the center shaft 3.
