To provide a worm type lure readily releasing the snagging of a fishhook when the fishhook is snagged with the bottom without making the fishhook bite in a mouth of a fish more than necessary and cutting the mouth when the fish bites the fishhook to cause a strike and a fishing rod is pulled to hit the fish.

The worm type lure is equipped with the following, an artificial worm body obtained by coiling a flexible string and forming the string, a connecting tool having a lower ring part provided at one end of the artificial worm body for mounting the fishhook, a connecting tool having an upper ring part provided at the other end of the artificial worm body for fastening a fishing line, a flat metal fixture connected to the upper ring part, adding a moderate weight to the artificial worm body and having light dazzling and fish gathering actions and functions to irregularly sway the artificial worm body by shaking and a bead-like pseudo-eyeball-like body mounted on the upper ring part.
