PURPOSE: To make it possible to easily handle core blocks each constituted by an amorphous magnetic thin tape, by a method wherein core blocks are individually formed by winding an amorphous magnetic thin tape and coating or molding the same with, for example, a bonding agent and are then laid one on another through their side end surfaces which are orthogonal to the winding direction.
CONSTITUTION: An amorphous magnetic thin tape 12 is wound on a bobbin 13 to a necessary winding layer thickness, thereby to form a semirectangular wound body 14, which is pressed such as to be maintained in a rectangular shape by means of, for example, a press through pressing plates 15. A heat-resistant bonding agent is applied to both side end surfaces of the wound body 14 and is then hardened on heating at 100W150° to form a first core block 11a. Second and third core blocks respectively having necessary winding layer thicknesses are formed by repeating the above-described operation steps. Since the core blocks differ from each other in the dimension between leg parts (b) and (b), the bobbin 13 is varied in dimensions for each winding operation. The second core blocks 11b, 11c are respectively laid on both side end surfaces of the first core block 11a which constitutes the center of the wound core. Further, the third core blocks 11d, lle are respectively laid on the outer side surfaces of the second core blocks 11b, 11c. The leg parts (b) and yoke parts (a) are respectively wound with tightening members such as glass tapes.
