Abstract:
To provide a wound dressing capable of providing an optimal amount of various ions to a wound surface in order to promote growth or differentiation of the fibroblast and collagen synthesis, and capable of giving the bactericidal for preventing critical anchoring and infection of bacteria to the wound surface.SOLUTION: A wound dressing has a glass fiber nonwoven fabric and a moisture non-absorbing adhesive member. The wound dressing is characterized in that: the glass fiber nonwoven fabric comprises vitreous bodies containing 5-70% of SiO, 5-40.0% of BOand 1-50% of CaO in mass% of the oxide conversion as glass composition; the glass fiber nonwoven fabric has a first surface coming into contact with the wound surface and a second surface opposed to the first surface; and the moisture non-absorbing adhesive member covers the entire glass fiber nonwoven fabric, and the circumferential edge is provided on the second surface of the glass fiber nonwoven fabric so as to protrude from the glass fiber nonwoven fabric.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
