Title:
PRODUCTION OF REGENERATED COTTON NONWOVEN FABRIC
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3159787
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To produce a white cotton nonwoven fabric having a high strength according to a spun lace method without passing through scourging and bleaching steps by using a white fabric composed of cotton, especially cut wastes of an undershirt or knit underwear as a raw material.
CONSTITUTION: White yarn or a white fabric composed of cotton is converted into a cottony shape having ≥60% opening ratio with a recarding machine. The resultant cottony yarn or fabric is then treated with a random webber to provide ≥80% web opening ratio and the obtained web is subsequently interlaced by water jet needling treatment. Thereby, the cotton fiber which is a raw material for the cotton nonwoven fabric can be fed from sewing cut wastes, etc., as an industrial waste without requiring scouring and bleaching steps either before or after the formation of the web.
