PURPOSE: To smoothly wind a woven fabric relating to an empty roll in the case of changing a cross roll.
CONSTITUTION: The first/second touch rollers 46, 48 are arranged in the vicinity of a cutting route of a cutter 32 supported to a stand part 15A of a temporary set carriage 13. The first touch roller 46 is supported onto a nozzle pipe. An empty roll 4A is supported to an empty roll supporting arm 20A. In the empty roll 4A, a woven fabric W, extended from a full roll 4B, is pressed down to a part of the cutting route of the cutter 32 by tilting the empty roll supporting arm 20A. The empty roll 4A is brought into contact with the touch rollers 46, 48 through the woven fabric W. A woven fabric cut end part cut by the cutter 32 is wound to the empty roll 4A by jet action of the nozzle pipe.
