Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a woven fabric for sensing and imaging electromagnetic waves which has abnormal transparent and/or abnormal absorption characteristics to a specific electromagnetic wave and which is flexible and capable of following a curved surface, and to provide a woven fabric which can solve problems such as angle dependency of transparent/absorption characteristics caused by a metal hole plate and allergy-related safety problems by using a metal in a case where it is applied to a human body.SOLUTION: There is realized a woven fabric capable of controlling frequencies to be abnormally transmitted and/or to be absorbed by a three dimensional periodic structure peculiar to the woven fabric (a three-dimensional shape due to a yarn material, yarn diameter, or a weaving structure) and having a low angle dependency and a high flexibility. There is fabricated a woven fabric capable of being applied to imaging in medical and biotechnology applications by using an insulating yarn without metal or a high dielectric constant yarn.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
