PURPOSE: To obtain a woven fabric improved in strength and tenacity by each using an ultrafine wire consisting of a stainless wire, etc., having Ni plating coating layer on the outer surface or doubled yarn obtained by doubling plural ultrafine wires as warp and weft.
CONSTITUTION: Ultrafine wire having a Ni plating coating layer on the outer surface and consisting of piano wire or stainless wire having ≤160μm wire diameter or low-carbon steel wire having two phase structures and having ≥300kg/mm2 tensile strength or doubled yarn obtained by doubling a plurality of the above-mentioned ultrafine wires and subjecting the ultrafine wires to sizing treatment or twist yarn obtained by twisting the plural ultrafine wires is used as warp and/or weft and woven to provide the woven fabric suitable as reinforcing member for fiber-reinforced resin, air-containing tire, etc. Furthermore, Ni plating is preferably carried out at a ratio of 1-100g per 1kg ultrafine wire and when processing strain by plastic working is applied to the Ni plating coating layer, adhesion with a resin is improved.
