PURPOSE: To manufacture wrapped cord with excellent mechanical properties by selecting the radius of an inlet guide part and the bore dia. and length of a straight guide part so that outgoing/incoming angle of wrapping wire to the spiral processing part at the outlet from the guide bush hole.

CONSTITUTION: The radius of curvature, R2, at a circular-profiled inlet guide part 15 of a guide bushing 6 and the bore a and length d of a guide hole as forming the straight guide part 16 are so selected that both the wrapping wire paid off from the position on the bobbin closest to the bushing 6 on a fitting tool 4 and the one paid off from the farthest position will pass a spiral processing part 10 in contact with said guide pat 15 with the radius of curvature R2 as well as the straight portion 16. Accordingly the wire 2 paid off from bobbin 1 toward the bushing 6 with different angles is guided along the path from the guide part 15 of bushing 6 to the guide pat 16, and can thus enter the processing part 10 with a constant angle which is determined by the spiral processing part 10 and straight guide portion 16. This may reduce variation of cord in its number of turns round own axis as well as in the bend and radius, which will make the cord elongation uniform.
