Title:
WRIST POSITION CORRECTING DEVICE OF KEYBOARD INSTRUMENT PLAYER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0792898
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To easily prevent and correct a bad fatal habit of lowering the wrists of the player at home, etc., by bringing the reverse surfaces of the wrists into contact with a bar when the wrists of the player are lowered below proper positions in a keyboard instrument performance.

CONSTITUTION: The wrist position correcting device 1 consists of a couple of brackets 3 and 4, a couple of bar holding members 5 and 6, and the bar 7, and the bar holding members 5 and 6 are mounted on the bracket 4 so that the distance and high-low position state can freely be adjusted. Then the bar holding member 5 is so adjusted that the bar 7 is positioned slightly below the reverse surfaces of the peripheries of the wrists when the hands of the player are in a proper playing state on the keyboard K of a piano P. When the wrist peripheries of the user move down, their reverse surfaces abut on the bar 7, so the user notices that his or her playing state is not proper, and puts the hands back to the proper position again to carry on a playing practice.
