Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method that reduces manufacturing and processing costs and facilitates processing of a writing ball, in the manufacture of the writing ball, and the writing ball that is manufactured by the manufacturing method.SOLUTION: In a powder sintering laminate shaping method for use, three-dimensional data on a writing ball are created; the created three-dimensional data are cut in round slices so that thickness can become very small; each cross-sectional shape is formed; and the next cross-sectional shape is formed in an upper part thereof. The above steps are repeated so that a metallic ball assuming an approximately writing ball shape can be manufactured. In addition, porosity of metal is controlled by changing output of an electron beam or a laser beam.
