To enhance precision in the movement speed and stop position of a bed.
A bed upper frame 3a holds a top plate 3b so as to be movable in a longitudinal direction and a horizontal direction. An examinee being a patient is placed on the top plate 3b. A linear scale 3c has a length being substantially the same as the longitudinal length of the bed upper frame 3a, and is arranged on the bottom surface of the bed upper frame 3a along the longitudinal direction. A detection head 3d is arranged on the rear face of the top plate 3b and also within an area for detecting the prescribed pattern of the linear scale 3c by facing the linear scale 3c on the bed upper frame 3a. The detection head 3d detects the prescribed pattern on the linear scale 3c and outputs movement data to a control part. The control part collects the movement data from the bed, calculates a correction value, based on the collected information and a previously stored theoretical value, and then, gives a pulse corresponding to the correction value to the motor of the bed.
