Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the improved X-ray film and X-ray film body for dentistry corresponding to the oral cavity shape, capable of exercising the effect advantageous to the X-ray radiography and the quantitative analyzation or the like on the basis of the X-ray image.
SOLUTION: An X-ray film body for dentistry 100 comprises an X-ray film for dentistry and a film housing. The film housing has the similar shape as the shape of the X-ray film for dentistry, and is slightly larger than the same by a predetermined size. At least one corner part 131 of the X-ray film and that of the film housing are provided with the rounded parts 131c corresponding to the shape of an oral cavity inner surface. The rounded part 131c is determined to be similar to the dissected shape of the oral cavity. This shape is asymmetrical with respect to a line passing an approximate center of the film in its longitudinal direction. When the X-ray film for dentistry stored in the film housing is the asymmetrical X-ray film for dentistry, it can be suitable used for the radiography of a molar and the neighborhood of the molar part.
