To provide a yarn brake capable of arranging even any kind of bias element normally used for adjusting brake force, by dispensing with an additional driving means, by reducing pollution and abrasion.
This yarn brake has a support 15, a bearing pin 18, two brake elements 26 and 27 installed on the bearing pin 18 and having at least one movable in the axial direction on the bearing pin 18, and a bias mechanism of butting and holding the two brake elements 26 and 27. The bearing pin 18, the brake elements 26 and 27 and the bias mechanism are joined to an assembly having the whole freely rotatable on the support 15. A textile machine equipped with the yarn brake, particularly, a circular knitting machine and a yarn feed device are also provided.
