Abstract:
PURPOSE: To assuredly detect a yarn breakage by sensing the presence/absence of a pulse outputted when a yarn delivered from a bobbin carrier crosses a detecting section.
CONSTITUTION: A yarn breakage detecting section S1 is so designed that a projector s3 and a receiver s3' are arranged facing to each other at the respective tips of supporting members s1, s1' set up on a machine frame f1 and on at least one position of a curve-surfaced upper plate U with the plate U sandwiched therebetween in its width direction via supporting frames s2, s2', and a bobbin carrier travel detecting section S2 is set up under the plate U. Each time when the rays of light from the projector s3 is blocked by a yarn y delivered form a bobbin carrier C traveling along an orbit, a pulse is outputted from the receiver s3'; when such a pulse is not emitted within a specified time after a pulse outputted from the bobbin carrier travel detecting section S2, it is determined that a yarn breakage occurred, thus stopping the travel of the bobbin carrier C.
