To provide a yarn dividing method and a yarn dividing device capable of stable production and getting the dividing filament yarn with less fluffs by detecting the retention of twist including the type (S twist, Z twist) with a censor and automatically adjusting the number of untwisting for reducing the workload of an operator, without causing an end breakage by a delaying operation especially when the operator handles the multiple devices.
This yarn dividing method for untwisting and dividing a doubled filament yarn detects the traveling position of the doubled filament yarn which is variable according to the variance of the number of twists based on the doubled filament yarn untwisting before the yarn dividing. The number of untwisting is controlled based on the detected position.
