To surely draw even a yarn with a large number count by sucking the end of a yarn wound up in a package by air sucker using pressure air jet in a yarn end sucking device for guiding the yarn end to be ended to a knotting device or an ending member of a pneumatic ending device.

In a spinning apparatus 1, when a yarn is cut, an ending signal is output, and according to the signal, a work truck 12 is moved toward a unit 10 where a yarn cut occurs, and stopped. When ending operation is started, first a cam device is operated, so that a suction nozzle 15 is forced to reciprocate toward a package 8 from the position of the suction nozzle indicated by a solid line to the position of the suction nozzle 15 indicated by a two-dot chain line by a cam. The suction nozzle 15 sucks the yarn end from the package 8 to be guided to the ending member 13 to be ended. Thus, in the case of a yarn with a large yarn number count, enough sucking force can be produced so as to surely suck the yarn end.
