PURPOSE: To prevent failure of yarn ending and formation of uneven knot, by using a suction for sucking a yarn end and guiding the yarn to a knotter and providing a means for clamping a yarn end and a means for restricting suction air flow in said suction.

CONSTITUTION: When yarn breakage has occurred in spinning process, the rotation of a package is reversed and a suction mouth 2 is approached to the circumference of the package to suck an end of the spun yarn wound on the package with a suction 1. The suction mouth 2 holding the sucked yarn 3 is approached to a knotter and the yarn is supplied to the knotter. A clamping device 8 for the yarn 3 and a clamper 13 for controlling the rate of suction are placed in the suction 1. The yarn 3 sucked in the suction 1 is clamped with the clamping device 8 and the yarn tension is controlled at a low level by controlling the rate of suction with the clamper 13.
