PURPOSE: To prevent yarn from coming off nip rollers while yarn end extracted from a package is being transferred to the outlet side of a twister, by setting a yarn guide to prevent yarn coming off the nip rollers, at a position in the package side in the vicinity of the nip rollers.
CONSTITUTION: The yarn end Y is extracted from the package 14 by the package suction mouse 1 of an ending machine and the yarn is inserted into the space between the piecing rollers 3 and 3'. When the electromagnetic solenoid 13 is excited and the yarn is nipped by the piecing rollers 3 and 3' and held, since the top part 9a of the guide 9 to prevent yarn form coming off is positioned above the thread guard guide 11a of the yarn detecting sensor 11, the yarn is surrounded by the yarn detecting sensor 11 and the guide 9 to prevent yarn form coming off. The yarn can be prevented from coming off nip rollers while the yarn end Y is being transferred to the outlet side of the twister 8.
