PURPOSE: To provide a yarn knotting apparatus so designed that a point of intersection is made by using a pair of holding claws on both new and existing yarns arranged in parallel with each other, shifted sideward with a press lever, a part of the yarns is then nipped with a nipping claw and pulled to effect knotting both the new and existing yarns together into a single bundle.
CONSTITUTION: This yarn knotting apparatus works as follows: the respective ends of a new yarn 70a and an existing yarn 70b are arranged in parallel with each other to grip both the yarns at two points using a pair of holding claws 122, 122 followed by turning both the yarns while withdrawing the holding claws so that both the yarns run to a loop with a point of intersection; subsequently, the point of intersection is shifted sideward with a press lever 124, a part of the yarns 70 is then nipped with a nipping claw 129 followed by pulling the yarns 70 to effect knotting both the new and existing yarns together into a single bundle.
