PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a yarn splicing device by which raised fluff is reduced or eliminated in regions located upstream and downstream of a splicing yarn connection part.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a yarn splicing device 10 for connecting an upper yarn 17 connected to a winding package and a lower yarn 18 connected to a delivery bobbin, including a splicing prismatic body 32 and yarn clamping/cutting units 36 and 36' located above and below the splicing prismatic body. The splicing prismatic body includes a splicing passage 34 and causes the fibers of the upper yarn and the lower yarn which can be inserted into the passage to be pneumatically entangled with each other. An upper rake element 37 and a lower rake element 38 are each arranged between the passage and the yarn clamping/cutting unit. The upper rake element and the lower rake element are configured so that the upper yarn or the lower yarn is changed in a direction at least twice in a plane located in an approximately transverse direction with respect to the insertion direction of both yarns.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
