Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a yarn winding machine which can surely capture a thread to prevent mixing of waste thread into a package due to cutting of the thread.SOLUTION: In a winder unit 10, when a needle thread capturing member 26 starts to move from a capturing area R1 to a thread piecing area R3, a contact state of a package 30 with a contact roller 29 is released. Consequently, even if double picking where a middle part of a thread 20 is captured by the needle thread capturing member 26 occurs, cutting of the tread 20 between the package 30 and the contact roller 29 can be prevented to prevent mixing of waste thread formed by a thread end 30a into the package 30. When the needle thread capturing member 26 is located in the capturing area R1, the contact state of the package 30 with the contact roller 29 is not released, so that a positional relation between the needle thread capturing member 26 and the thread end 30a is stabilized and the thread end 30a can be surely captured.
