Abstract:

To obtain a zeolite catalyst having a good regeneration characteristic by adding to zeolite an oxide or a salt of an element of the group II or the main-group III elements or a mixture thereof.

An oxide or a salt of an element of the group II or the main- group III elements or a mixture thereof is added to a zeolite. The oxides and the salts include CaO, CaCO3, Al2O3 and the like. These include 5 to 150 vol.%, preferably 20-70 vol.% of the oxides with reference to the volume of the zeolite. Activity and selectivity are not deteriorated and a good regeneration performance is achieved when the zeolite catalyst is regenerated by using air or an air/nitrogen mixture.
