Abstract:
To provide a zirconium purification method capable of reducing an amount of use of an acid solution when eluting radioactive zirconium.SOLUTION: A zirconium purification method comprises: an adsorption step for bringing a solution obtained by dissolving, yttrium including zirconium to an acid solution for dissolution, into contact with a resin whose base material is a cation exchange resin, for adsorbing selectively, the zirconium to the resin; and a collecting step for, after the adsorption step, causing the acid solution to pass through the resin, for collecting a collected passed solution including a complex of zirconium ions, in which, a pore size of the resin is less than 30 nm, preferably 10 nm or less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
