Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a zoom lens comprising a compact system which has a high zoom ratio and offers good chromatic aberration correction and superior optical performance over an entire zoom range.SOLUTION: A zoom lens comprises a first lens group having positive refractive power, a second lens group having negative refractive power, and a succeeding group comprising one or more lens groups, arranged in order from the object side, and is configured such that the second lens group moves in an optical axis direction while zooming and distance between adjacent lens groups changes while zooming. The succeeding group has positive refractive power over an entire zoom range. The first lens group includes a diffraction optical element whose diffraction surfaces are cemented between two optical elements. A focal length f1 of the first lens group, a displacement m2 of the second lens group from the wide-angle end to the telephoto end, and a back focus BFw at the wide-angle end are each set appropriately.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
