Abstract:

To provide a method, etc. of detecting receptor interactions for acquiring accurate quantitative results from respective cells on interactions between receptors by clarifying spatial arrangement of the receptors, and resultantly, observing an interaction between specific receptors with satisfactory repeatability as to individual cells.

Cells are prepared containing luciferases and cyclic AMP-bound protein to add luciferin to the prepared cells from outside the cells. The amount of light emission of the cells is measured while adding serotonin, dopamine, and forskolin to the cells after the luciferin is added thereto. The concentration of cyclic AMP in the cells is analyzed based on the amount of light emission measured to detect an interaction between a D1 receptor and a 5HT2A receptor based on the analyzed concentration of the cyclic AMP.
