Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an active energy ray-curable overprint varnish composition which, in an active energy ray-curable offset printing, exhibits improved gloss of a portion covered with many coats of one color or multicolor, and to provide a printing method, and a printed matter obtained thereby.SOLUTION: Provided is an active energy ray-curable overprint varnish composition containing a dibasic acid ester as a gloss improver. The dibasic acid ester is an ester of a dibasic acid having 2 to 18 carbon atoms with a monoalcohol, and is contained in the overprint varnish composition in an amount of 0.5 to 10 weight%. Also provided are an offset printing method using the varnish composition and printed matter using the same.
