PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wall panel device capable of being installed without generating a stepped section while following the quaking and movement of left-right buildings and being not damaged even when the buildings are quaked and moved by an earthquake, etc., and joint sections are enlarged and narrowed and being automatically returned to an original state when quaking and movement are stopped.
SOLUTION: The wall panel device has one wall panel 6, which covers one side of a joint section 2 rotatably installed to a building frame at the wall-surface site of one building of left-right buildings 3 through a hinge member 4 and in which a front end section has an inwards projected support piece 6, and the other wall panel 8 having a support piece 7 projected to the inside abutted against the support piece 5 of one wall panel 6 at a front end section covering the other side of the joint section 2 rotatably mounted on a building frame at the wall-surface site of the other building at a site corresponding to one wall panel 6 through the hinge member 4. The wall panel device is composed of a wall-panel urging mechanism 9, in which the state, in which the support piece 5 of one wall panel 6 and the support piece 7 of the other wall panel 8 are abutted, is held at all times and both wall panels 6, 8 can be moved under the state, in which urging force is imparted, so that both wall panels 6, 8 are rotated when the joint section 2 is narrowed and returned to an original state when the joint section 2 is widened.
