To restrain rotation of occupant head around an axis line of his or her neck part as a center when a vehicle receives an impact shock from a diagonally front outside of a vehicle seat.SOLUTION: An air bag 31 comprises a main inflation part 32 expanding and inflating outside the upper half body of an occupant P1, and a sub inflation part 41 which is disposed at a place adjacent to the inside of the main inflation part 32 and expands and inflates at a diagonally front outside of a head part PH by a gas for inflation going through the main inflation part 32. The sub inflation part 41 comprises: an annular side part 45 configuring an outer peripheral part; an outer body part 46 surrounded by an edge 45a outside the annular side part 45; and an inner body part 47 surrounded by an edge 45b inside the annular side part 45. In the sub inflation part 41 completing expansion and inflation, a maximum dimension M1 in a facing direction in which the outer body part 46 and inner body part 47 face each other, is shorter than a dimension M2 of a direction orthogonal to the facing direction. The sub inflation part 41 has the outer body part 46 as a bond area Z1 and is bonded to the main inflation part 32 in such a state as being communicated with the main inflation part 32 in the bond area Z1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
