Abstract:
To provide an airbag device capable of early inflating/deploying an entire airbag, especially a portion for protecting the head of an occupant to a prescribed position.SOLUTION: An airbag device which is fitted to a side part of a seatback of a vehicle seat, and is inflated/deployed at a console box side disposed at an inner side in a vehicle width direction of the vehicle seat, as a side of an occupant seated on the vehicle seat includes: an inflator generating gas; and a bag-like airbag inflated/deployed by gas from the inflator. The airbag device is such that: the airbag has a body part inflated/deployed to a vehicle front side from the side part of the seatback, and protecting the occupant, and a support inflation part positioned at the inner side in the vehicle width direction relative to the body part, and inflated/deployed on the console box; the support inflation part is disposed over a vehicle front-back direction; and the vehicle front side of the support inflation part is positioned in a natural inflation state at a lower side in a vehicle vertical direction than the vehicle rear side of the support inflation part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
